We based our old-fashioned toffee on a recipe dating back to the 1600s, and we made it our own. Cooked over flame in a copper kettle and scooped quickly by hand, our crisp, buttery English-style toffee is light, crunchy, enveloped in chocolate, and topped with a sprinkling of toasted nuts.
